I started making books from found material. It started with me originally collaging and I found that to be a little boring. So I started to collect a bunch of collages and I’d already made and sewed them together. I like how exposed, saddle-stitched spines look.







Lately I’ve been thinking about Korean culture, specifically the “Han”, and how it’s influenced me in subconscious ways. I constantly feel the weight of my mom’s fears and hopes and I wanted to convey that through ink markings and brushstrokes.
